Insulation Guide
Insulation Contractor in Naples, FL
Spray foam is our specialty — but it isn't always the right answer. We install every major insulation type in Southwest Florida, which means we can recommend the one your property actually needs.
A Full-Service Insulation Contractor — Not a One-Product Shop
Most insulation companies in Southwest Florida install one thing and recommend it for every job. We built Spray Foam Naples LLC around spray foam because it's the strongest performer in our climate, and it remains the majority of what we install. But an attic that simply needs more depth over the ceiling joists doesn't need foam — it needs blown-in insulation, at a fraction of the cost.
So we install all of it: spray foam in both open and closed cell, fiberglass and mineral wool batts, blown-in cellulose and loose-fill, rigid foam board for continuous insulation over block, reflective radiant barriers, and fluid-applied waterproofing. We also remove old, wet, or contaminated insulation when that's what the job honestly calls for.
The practical benefit to you is straightforward: when we walk your property, we have no reason to steer you toward one material. We'll tell you what the assembly needs, what it costs, and what the payback looks like — including when the cheaper option is the right one.

Side by Side
Insulation Materials Compared
R-value per inch, relative cost, and how each material behaves around moisture — the three things that actually decide the right choice in a Florida building.
| Material | R / Inch | Cost | Moisture | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Closed-Cell Spray Foam | ~6.5 | $$$$ | Vapor barrier | Hurricane zones, moisture control, max R-value |
| Rigid Foam Board (Polyiso) | ~5.6–6.5 | $$$ | Resists water | Continuous insulation over block and roof decks |
| Rigid Foam Board (EPS/XPS) | ~3.6–5.0 | $$ | Drains well | Slabs, foundations, below grade |
| Mineral Wool Batt | ~4.0–4.3 | $$ | Sheds water | Sound control and fire resistance |
| Open-Cell Spray Foam | ~3.7 | $$$ | Breathable | Interior walls, attics, soundproofing |
| Blown-In Cellulose | ~3.2–3.8 | $ | Absorbs water | Topping up attic floors around obstructions |
| Fiberglass Batt | ~3.1–3.4 | $ | Absorbs water | Budget cavity fill in interior assemblies |
| Loose-Fill Fiberglass | ~2.2–2.7 | $ | Won't hold water | Humid attics where settling is a concern |
| Radiant Barrier | Reflects, no R | $ | Vapor retarder | Supplementing attic insulation in hot climates |
R-values are typical published ranges per inch of thickness and vary by manufacturer and product. Installed performance also depends on air sealing and thermal bridging — which is why a lower-R assembly that's properly sealed often outperforms a higher-R one that isn't.
